Default WordPress admin is a weak client handoff.

You spend months building a polished website. Then you hand the client a backend that looks like 2009. It undermines the work.

Outdated interface

The default WordPress admin hasn't meaningfully changed in years. It looks nothing like the modern site you just built for them.

Too many menus

Clients see every plugin menu, every WordPress option, every tool. It's overwhelming — and dangerous if they click the wrong thing.

Confusing for clients

Clients don't know the difference between Appearance and Plugins. Support tickets spike in the first month because the admin is hard to navigate.

Risky access

Clients with Author or Editor roles can still see plugin settings, tools, and critical WordPress options. One wrong click can break something.

Zero branding

WordPress branding is everywhere. The client logs in and sees someone else's product — not yours. White-labeling takes significant custom dev work.

Poor first impression

After an expensive custom build, the admin experience should match the quality of the site. Right now, it doesn't — and clients notice.

Forma gives clients an admin that feels finished.

Forma sits on top of WordPress and transforms the admin chrome — without breaking a single plugin page.

Modern admin chrome

Replace the default sidebar and topbar with clean, modern navigation. Choose from carefully designed templates — light, warm, or minimal.

Client mode & role control

Show clients only what they need. Hide risky menus, rename items to plain language, and keep admins fully unrestricted — all by role.

Full white-label control

Add your agency logo, brand the login screen, set a custom workspace name, and remove all WordPress and Forma branding completely.

Agency presets

One-click presets for home builders, ecommerce, nonprofits, and more. Set it up once, export it, and apply to every new client site in seconds.

Everything you need for a clean client handoff.

Built for the way agencies actually work — from first install to ongoing client management.

Modern admin chrome

Clean sidebar and topbar styles, floating nav option, pinned shortcuts, and command palette. Looks nothing like default WordPress.

How agencies use Forma every day.

01

Client handoff after launch

Apply a branded template, simplify the menu for the client's role, add a welcome dashboard with quick actions, and hand off a backend that matches the quality of the site.

02

Agency-branded admin

Replace all WordPress branding with your agency name and logo. Clients log in and see your brand — not WordPress. Reinforce your professionalism at every touchpoint.

03

Home builder client portal

Use the Home Builder preset to configure a clean dashboard with just the menus a builder needs — pages, media, and support. Everything else is hidden.

04

Ecommerce management dashboard

Give ecommerce clients a clean, focused admin with WooCommerce orders and products at the top, and everything else tucked away or renamed to plain language.

05

Nonprofit editor workspace

Strip the admin down to just what content editors need — pages, posts, events, and media. Add a support card so they know exactly who to contact when they need help.

06

Maintenance & support portal

Pair the dashboard with a support request card and training links. Clients feel held and know exactly what to do. Reduces inbound emails by giving them a clear path.

Common questions.

No. Forma only controls the WordPress admin chrome — the navigation, topbar, and dashboard. It reads the WordPress menu arrays and renders them inside its own shell, so any plugin that adds menu items (WooCommerce, Elementor, Yoast, ACF) automatically appears in the Forma nav. The actual content of plugin pages is never touched.
Yes — white-label mode is available on all Pro plans. Once enabled, Forma branding is completely removed and replaced with your agency name, logo, and custom workspace details. Clients will never know Forma is powering their admin.
Absolutely. Client Mode works by WordPress user role. You set which roles see the simplified view — typically Editor, Author, or Contributor — while Administrators always see the full, unrestricted admin. Your access is never affected.
No. Forma sits on top of WordPress — it's a visual and experience layer, not a replacement. WordPress core, all its settings, and all your plugins continue to work exactly as they always have. Forma transforms how the admin looks and feels, not how it functions.
Forma includes dark chrome options like Obsidian and Aurora — but these apply only to the navigation sidebar and topbar, not the entire admin. This is intentional. Keeping the content area light ensures plugin pages, editors, and form fields remain stable and readable regardless of the template chosen.
Yes. Free users can preview every Pro template and navigation style live inside their admin. You see exactly how your site will look before committing to an upgrade. Just note that previewed styles can't be saved until you have a Pro license.
Yes — this is one of Forma's most useful Pro features. Use the Import/Export kit to bundle your full configuration (template, white-label branding, role settings, presets, and shortcuts) into a single JSON file. Install Forma on a new client site, import the kit, and you're done in seconds.
Forma is sold as an annual subscription through Freemius. After checkout, Freemius sends the license key and handles payments, receipts, renewals, VAT, and account management. You can activate Forma Pro on the number of sites included with your plan and cancel anytime.
